Reynu Taandon

Reynu Taandon whirled into the fashion scene around a decade ago. With a flutter of chiffon and unabashed glamour, Reynu is today a force to reckon with in the fashion industry. One of the most versatile members of the couture boundaries she has today found a place for her design internationally. Expertise, clarity and creativity, humility arising from quiet confidence has earned her both respect and clientele of celebrities like Burmans, Gujrals, Nizams and Begums of Hyderabad. The hallmark of every design is elaborate draping and exquisite construction. Reynu's fresh sparkling clothes are seen on the cocktail circuit from Mumbai to Dubai and she aspires to make Indian fashion more popular and affordable. Designer Reynu Taandon for this monsoon introduces her collection called "Monsoon Magic" for women This rainy season the look that Reynu has created is a minimalist one. Reynu has established a global look for this collection. The "Monsoon Magic" collection offers two different lines of garments. One being the "Aqua Collection" and the other being "Safari Collection".

Joy Mitra

After graduating in Fashion Design from NIFT Kolkata in 2000, designer Joy Mitra worked with designer Ritu Beri for some time, and moved on to work with fashion designer and now hugely successful bollywood costume designer, Aki Narula, for two consecutive fashion weeks. Multi-talented Joy took up teaching at NIFT, Delhi in 2005 and also freelanced for designers like Anjana Bhargav while simultaneously designing collections for the renowned multi-designer store Melange. However, his intense passion and love for designing lured him into designing for films, and he started off as costume designer and art directore for the critically acclaimed Bengali director Rituparno Ghosh's 'Dosar' in 2006, which starred the dusky beauty Konkana Sen and Bengali hearthrob, Prasenjit Chatterjee. In 2007, Joy did the costumes for another Rituparno Ghosh film, 'Khela', which starred the Bollywood beauty Manisha Koirala (which incidentally happened to be her first Bengali feature film).

RITU KUMAR DESIGNS ENSEMBLES FOR GENELIA'S TROUSSEAU

This weddings season, Ritu Kumar dresses up none other than Genilia D'Souza as she ties the not with Riteish Deshmukh.
The outfits in Genelia's trouseeau comprise of a nude and black net
anarkali -- with multi panelled layers , The bodice is accented with asee through layer of lace like filigree. The ensemble is high lighted with a black and nude coloured odhni and accompanied with a nude coloured chooridar A perfect ensemble for the mehndi or sangeet ceromony.The second ensemble is a lehnga choli and odhni in gold and indigo blue.The blouse is made of indigo blue velvet with antique dhapka embroidery The lehnga is made of antique gold woven with zardozi embrodery with a velvet indigo blue border highlighted with gold embroidery. The odhni is a
subtle mix of gold and indigo blue , highlighting genelias petite frame.The embroidery is from a vintage collection used in Ritu Kumars archives to give a golden glow to the face and the ensemble resembles a 19th century archivael piece.

Le Mill launches new collection by Jade Jagger

Le Mill is all set to launch the new collection of renowned jewelry designer Jade Jagger, on 25th February 2012. Jade’s eponymous fine jewellery collection evolves from the ancient ceremonies of the Twelve Olympians in classical Greece. Laurels and wreaths have been delicately worked in yellow gold and silver; Apollo’s seminal arrow is joined in braided leather bracelets. The Messenger’s instrument is also set in white and black diamonds.Her capsule jewellery collection ‘Skull Duggery’ continues to be a strong part of the range. ‘Skull Duggery’ features Jade’s symbolic Skull Rosary. “I’ve had a long-standing love for skulls and the way they look like beads.” says Jade. These are made in Gold Micro Plated, Silver and Black Rhodium.

Shehla’s collection is a mix of prêt-à-porter, primo and atelier and will cater to anyone and everyone who has an eye for beauty. Opulent fabrics and flowy silhouettes, Shehla’s garments are beautiful clothes with a lot of attention being given to detail and workmanship. Her Indian garments have been inspired by classic old school embroideries such as shadow work, chikan kari and badla to name a few. The exquisitely made dresses and gowns comprise of a lot of fabric manipulated embroideries. All her garments are made on supple and soft fabrics which are 100 percent pure and feel beautiful on the skin.
